Designed specifically for Indigenous youth ages 12-18, this hands-on experience will provide an opportunity to connect with nature, gain new skills, and develop an appreciation for Indigenous culture and knowledge.
During the walk, Alyssa will guide participants through the forest, sharing her knowledge of plants, animals, and traditional ecological knowledge. You will learn how to identify different plant species, learn about their uses, and gain a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of all living things.
The experience will conclude with a special foraging activity, where participants will have the opportunity to gather and taste some of the plants they have learned about.
